On 13 Oct 2009, three outstanding pacesetters in sustainable development received the President’s Award for the Environment from President S R Nathan. They are:

                        

As in previous years, the recipients this year have all made high impact contributions to the environment, as well as adopted and promoted good environmental practices both within and beyond their organizations. We salute them for their dedication and continued active involvement in championing the environmental cause in their respective spheres of influence.
